Position overview

As we continue to grow, Mangolab is on the lookout for a WordPress Developer to join our small team.

Be a key player in our growth. Dive into the whole project, creating, deploying, managing, and customising WordPress sites from scratch.

Modify code on existing sites, extend customised templates and ensure plugin compatibility when upgrading.

  • Have a keen eye for detail.
  • Focused on timely delivery of projects.


  • Proven experience as a full stack WordPress developer, with a diverse portfolio.
  • Proficient in WordPress theme development.
  • In-depth knowledge of MySQL, HTML5, and JavaScript (jQuery, etc.) for dynamic websites.
  • A talent for researching and sourcing appropriate themes, plugins and components to deliver website features.
  • Expertise in SEO, website performance optimisation and security best practices.
  • Experienced PHP user, comfortable extending security modules and template customisation.
  • Comfortable with host control panels like Plesk and CPanel.
  • Knowledgeable in the hierarchy of WP templates for customised themes.


  • A good eye for design with skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies, including Vue.js and Bootstrap.js.
  • Expertise in API integration, eCommerce plugins and payment systems.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git or SVN).


We're looking for a smart, friendly, organised person with a natural problem-solving ability and a thirst for knowledge.

What we offer

  • Working location: Work from home, but must be able to get to Leamington Spa for the occasional team meeting.
  • Flexible hours: full-time with flexibility. Core hours 10am to 3pm.
  • Holiday: 25-days annual leave + bank holidays.
  • Competitive pay: £35,000 to £38,000 depending on experience.
  • Company-contributed pension.
